Beauty, Bounty, Bodaciousness of my Black Sisters.

We don’t know each other but we love each other.

Unafraid to flip her kinky curls with a pop in the nod

To vocalizes admiration, respect for that fro

So big it kisses the sky with wondrously

Tight coils, natural and essential oils

Glistening in the sun.

“I love your Hair”, we share as the newly christened cousin

steps out the barber feeling the wind and the sun

for the first time since birth seeding their skin with D nourishment.

“My recipe is…” we whisper to other cohorts of the Kinky Curly Clan

to encourage growth of follicles and spirit.

This bond of Beautiful, Bountiful, Bodacious Broads

Belong to me and I to them.

Protected, lifted, a projection of strength and solidarity.
